Principal's Message

Dear Parents & Friends:

As the new Principal of North Park High School, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to become a member of this great school. North Park enjoys a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is the result of a collegial partnership between the staff and parents. During my first few days, I have indeed found this close working relationship and focus upon what is best for students to exist. I am honored to be appointed to this position and look forward to working with our dedicated staff to provide the very best educational experience for our students.

My professional career in Baldwin Park Unified started four years ago as the Assistant Principal at Holland Middle School. During my professional career, I have served as Vice Principal of a high school in San Diego, and also held teaching positions in both middle and high schools in Santa Ana and, Los Angeles, California; Phoenix, Arizona; and Greenville, South Carolina.

I am very excited to be part of the North Park family. My greatest initiative is to provide leadership that will facilitate a school environment that provides our students with the 21st Century skills needed to become productive men and women in our democratic society. An educational program must be academically rigorous and engaging. Along with your support, we here at North Park will continue to encourage and provide opportunities for our students to be ready for those changes that the future holds. As our world gets smaller and smaller, and our students participate as part of the global economy, it is imperative that our students have the skills needed to remain competitive in the job market.

We here at North Park will provide those educational skills by facilitating classroom environments that provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student. We will engage each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experiences while promoting further exploration of new ideas.

Parents, teachers, support staff, and administration have an important role to encourage our students to become active learners. Parents you are encouraged and welcomed to volunteer in a variety of school related programs and events. Please review the Student Handbook and discuss with you son/daughter about scheduled events and school start time. ATTENDANCE IS INSTRUMENTAL FOR YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS!!! They cannot learn if they are not in attendance.

It is through a continual and close partnership with you that North Park will continue to provide our students the very best educational experience! I look forward to working with you and let’s make LEARNING FUN!!!
